Our First Date...

My B-Unit sent me his number and then I called him from my private number, kind eyes or no, I was not taking any chances.

On the dating website, I used a fictitious moniker, one can't be too careful!

So, when I called, I introduced myself using that name. Once we began the conversation, I told him that was not my real name, if it wasn't already blatantly obvious and we began the process of him trying to pronounce my real name...he is still trying to get it right today...LOL!!!

It was the Friday after Independence Day, 2017 and we talked for a good long hour, hour and a half and I knew I, definitely, wanted to chat to him again.

So, we did, on Saturday and Sunday...

He asked if we could meet up the next weekend and I said, "sure!"

On the 10th of July, 2017, I get a phone call from my B-Diddy, he starts of like this, "I have a confession to make," and in my mind, I'm like, here we go...he tells me...

I don't think I can wait till the weekend; I would love to meet you tomorrow...

My B-Diddy is a smooth operator...after I got over my slight coma...I said, hmm, I'll just be getting home from work and would rather not drive any long distance, plus parking is a beast in these parts.

Luckily, there were restaurants, literally, on every block close to my apartment so I proposed the closest one and it was a date.

On the 11th of July, 2017, I saw him waiting outside the restaurant, with flowers in one hand, wearing an oversize blazer, polo and jeans...too cute!

We were sat at a booth by the entrance, I ordered an appetizer and he ordered the Pollo alla Diavola, (so I am not a big fan of chicken, but that dish was delish), I ended up eating half of his meal after one taste, don't judge me, I'm a foodie!

We talked and talked and talked, he was quite nervous the entire night, at least, that's what it looked like to me...we walked over to my apartment, I showed him my place and then we headed to the common room to watch some TV...after a while, I walked with him to his car and then...

It was pretty late, and I had to get up for work the next day but I called my B as he drove home and thanked him for a lovely evening, he said it was his pleasure and made plans to keep our initial date the following weekend! And so the #Smoon saga was born!!!
