So, I finally made it to the resort, Jewel Grande Montego Bay Resort and Spa... this property was quite beautiful and clean.

I went to check-in and was disappointed to find that I could not get into my room until after 3pm. Remember, I am here for an event and at this point, I have missed all the scheduled activities. 

I mean, I knew I was going to miss most of them but I really hoped I would make the day's festivities. Anyway, the reception was warm, they greeted me with a choice of a Pina Colada 🍹 or Rum Punch 🥃... I opted for both!

I was given an arm band to access areas of the resort and my room (as soon as it was available to access). 

While I waited, I went down by the water and ordered some food, yes, I had Ox-tail on the brain. Of course, island time, the food came when it came, no ox-tail but I got some jerk chicken 🐔 and jerk pork 🥩, bambam, which I think was their version of fried yucca and, a never-ending supply of Aperol Spritz🍸... yes, I'm in Jamaica, man!!!

I finally made it to my room, it was not on a high floor but I was too tired to try to get a different room. The room was huge and clean, although there was one lone-ranger fly hanging around.

I got a chance to check out some of the restaurants on the grounds, there was a Hibachi spot etc...

The birthday party was held off-site, a lot of fun, plenty of gifts from the celebrant to her guests, wow! Highlight of the evening was Chaka Demus and Pliers...loved them!
